Marchington and Wilkinson (2012) suggest that effective talent management is essential for ‘competitive edge and future survival’, specifically relating to leadership talent. Of course, volatile economic context tends to render talented leadership even more crucial to organisational success and economic development. CIPD (2012), similarly identified the crucial role of talent management in filling managerial, professional and technical vacancies, with a growing problem of limited specialist and technical skills. So too are concerns for talent shortage and organizations quest for talent in Africa is well recognized. Thus, this case intends to re look at Talent Management Strategy thru Global Lens in African context.
