Africa is the world's youngest continent, as the proportion of youth among the region's total popoulation is higher than in any other continent. It has the fastest-growing and most youthful population in the world where 60% of it is under the age of 24. These statistics present a serious challenge (or may be real opportunities). The question is: Can African Higher Education Institutions including business schools seize the opportunities being presented to them and try to have an impact by giving good quality and pertinent training programs?



AABS Pilots Accreditation for African Business Schools

The Association of African Business Schools (AABS) has launched a pilot accreditation programme to benchmark the provision of high-quality management education in Africa.  

The AABS Accreditation is a unique system whose standards are underpinned by African contexts, thereby making it relevant to business schools in the continent. The accreditation standards will be at par with other globally recognised accreditation systems that business schools currently aspire to attain.

Monique Malan from University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB) named best student

Monique Malan, who completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning at the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB) last year, was named the best student for 2016 in the national board examinations of the FINANCIAL PLANNING INSTITUTE (FPI).
