AABS Appoints New Member Services Manager

Publish date:2017-02-02

The Association of African Business Schools is excited to announce the appointment of an AABS Services Manager, Joan Egwuterai, with effect from 1 February 2017.   Joan comes with a wealth of experience after spending sixteen years at Lagos Business School in various roles, the most recent being Executive Assistant to the Dean. In that role, she was responsible for  developing and managing international linkages for LBS, as well as overseeing the implementation of the school's strategic plan and annual objectives. She was at one time the Head of External Relations at LBS. Joan has extensive knowledge of management education.

She has a first degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and a Masters in Corporate Communications from Sheffield Hallam University, UK. She also did the Senior Management Programme at LBS.

One of Joan’s focal points in 2017 will be the roll out of the AABS Accreditation Project. Member Schools have been actively involved in this project, the development of which was led by Grace Mugo in the second half of 2015. The roll out of this project will require significant involvement of all AABS Member Schools, as well as other business schools based in Africa.

Joan, who will be based in Lagos, Nigeria, is a self-starter who is passionate about the development of institutions in African countries, specifically business schools. In her role as AABS Member Services Manager she looks forward to being a catalyst, facilitator and collaborator for the Association of African Business Schools (AABS).
